Personally, I am an avid musical theatre fanatic. The songs are pretty okay and the animation is not half bad. The plot goes from point a to point j and back to d, not really giving a lot to connect them together. The way it uses a singular character as a crutch to move the plot along gets old too fast, given said character is a Karen incarnate. It tries too hard to make "the grown-ups" a watered down version of some family YouTube channel, while the only two kids that have more than one scene in the movie are as one dimensional as it gets. The entire personality of one is that they do a dance on a parody of TikTok and kinda wants to go to a talent show. The other is the main character, and that goes about as well as expected. The "emotional" scenes are poorly set, and are transitioned to and from about as smoothly as a car crash.
The ending is forgettable, and not much is to be said about the character conclusions. Definitely a one-time watch, if you want a semi-quick cookie cutter feel-good movie.
