I was expecting a very lovely movie, with heartwarming and bittersweet moments, however this did not happen. Toula and the gang set off to Greece so she can keep a promise she made with her beloved late father, Gus, and I was expecting an in-depth journey of discovery and wonderment, but instead I found the story to be weak, messy and in parts ridiculous. To many times random and forced quips were added, that to me, felt completely mis placed and all fell flat. Many times throughout the movie I found myself asking why parts even needed to be in the movie in the first place. All in all, the story felt like a car boot sale, where characters and plot lines did not connect, and what should have been the main plot line was over before it ever truly began, the only saving grace was the undying love between Toula and Ian, which you can feel is as stong as it was all those years ago.
