Hooked from the outset. So many philosophical and literary references. Chidi quotes directly, knowingly, but there appear to be tacit references to Sartre (Hell is other people) from "Huit Clos", and to Dostoyevsky (What is hell? I maintain that it is the suffering of being unable to love.) and to his character, the student Raskalnikov in "Crime and Punishment" which Eleanor's character parallels, in that she's in constant fear of being found out. I hope we get series 3 here, series 2 ended suddenly.
Raskalnikov, like Eleanor, is a bit of a freeloader, avoiding payment of his rent. Far cleverer than most British TV output.
