Brilliant writing; interwoven story lines of differentiated characters whom, under sociality norms, would never develop interpersonal relationships with such depth. A family drama capable of capturing the attention of audience members of any age while not stooping to cheap sexual situations whereby relationships are traded and intermingled like so many baseball cards, (Grey's Anatomy, Station 19, et.al.). Like New Amsterdam and This is Us, a myriad of story lines present themselves for deeper understanding of the people in this unique community.

Highly disappointed to see this comedy vehicle removed from the CBS lineup. It's an excellent (quirky) series and vastly removed from the typical fodder one sees in sitcoms

Imagine dropping all the low-budget and (quite) idiotic 1970's martial arts films into a mixer and pouring out one-hour increments. This is the totality of "Badlands". Don't try to decipher any semblance of a viable story line. Mindless drivel. Weekly Script: Character 1: "Greetings" Character 2: "Greetings" Action: fight, fight, fight, stab, stab, stab, kill, kill, kill. Roll credits

Great fun. The cast proves to be wonderfully over the top in their characters. The young woman at the center of show is an energetic delight.

I find the series excellent with a superbly assembled cast. I too was a fan of The X Files, American Gothic, (90's rendition), the Twilight Zone, Night Gallery, etc.. . . . and variety of other suspense laden science fiction (Science Future?) works. Where the AI premise has been done in the past (see AMC's Human), and done well, this series offers a very different take with a set of family dynamics easily accessible in our current social climate--a quintessential modern American family with typical familial problems, if you will. However,. in the words of #TV Guide, I offer a "cheer" and a "jeer." I find the premise and story line developing well, but they "let the cat out of the bag" far too soon. The writers might have strung us a long a bit in with suspense before divulging the special nature of the child. I'm watching intently and do hope it has legs.

The Conner's has improved significantly since the termination of Rosanne (Yes, pun intended). Without the single character sucking the oxygen out of the room, the writing allows the remaining cast to showcase their respective talents in ever expanding roles not tethered to a single character thus creating a far better show than in any of it's history.

Pedantic dialog, superficial story lines inevitably leading to the formulaic; kiss, kiss, kiss, sex, sex, sex, jealously, jealously, change partners and repeat. Brought to you by the same people who created Scandal, How to Get Away With Murder, Grey’s Anatomy, and Station 19, thus one shouldn’t anticipate complicated, intellectually challenging story lines, just simplistic cotton candy.
