Excellent film, beautifully edited, directed, photographed, and acted. The story moves inevitably but unpredictably to a satisfying conclusion.

The series is wonderfully realized, giving a real sense of the disaster at all levels, giving a clear picture of heroes, villains, and victims. It also dramatizes the insidiousness of self-serving, mindless bureaucracy, not merely in Russia, but everywhere.

This series is very odd, and I mean that in a good way. It’s also funny, scary, unsettling, definitely the least predictable take on espionage you’re likely to come across. I recommend it.
