I like the take on Clarice between the capture of Bill and the reemergence of Hannibal in Italy later. I enjoy the character focus, and as a lifelong fan of everything concerning Harris' novels, I will continue to watch. However, I hope the writing gets better. First episodes are always too early to judge a series, but I found the connection between victims a little too, pardon my term, childish. Show me how they solve the crime, don't just tell me the relation with short and obvious questioning. I know they have to show some backstory at the beginning, so I hope this is all just setting up some better and more in-depth plots when the full episode can be dedicated, because without better writing, this series will just be watched by fans of the books/movies, and fail to be anything more than nostalgic.
