100% binge worthy (for those looking for general magical fantasy). Sure there are a couple things I’d want filtered out but that’s mostly because I’d prefer to see more ‘teen’ actors in movies that don’t somehow glorify intimate relationships, sex, drugs, or alcohol. Sherlock most definitely didn’t glorify being a drug addict and drunk - so that’s a plus. Acting is great (considering I don’t recognize any of the kids or most adults), character development and depth is fine - still plenty to build on, & plot is well enough thought out but don’t expect a mystery that you need to unravel. I did really like how each episode was almost individualized like a stand alone movie but miss the Sherlock mystery feel. Semi-spoilers: Disliked the music but didn’t really notice it until later on when Spike was breaking into Watsons apartment. Just weird music to put with the London circa 1870s timeframe. Costumes were intriguing but 100% not normal for that time period either. I tried not to focus on them but agreed - at least once an episode I was thinking “what?” My favorite part of any Sherlock series is the mystery. The deductions. The thought that either I can try to find the answer myself or learn something from the show. This TV series lacked it...almost completely. Leo talking about the birds as if he were a mini Sherlock - was exciting but soon the intellectual excitement came to an end and each episode after that, lacked that...Sherlock feel. Hated the ending - show will be a lot more boring without them in it. But can’t wait to see if and how they bring them back in. So yeah - I gave it 5 stars because it was entertaining and binged through it. It wasn’t good enough to watch a second time around but I will watch the next season.

Nope. Just nope!!! It’s like taking ‘American Pie’ movies and injecting them into ‘Toddlers & Tiaras’ with dancing skills from early seasons of ‘Dance Moms’ then using moves from J-Lo and Shakira’s latest football half time Show to showcase 11yr old trying to look and act older and use sexuality to get what they want.... My daughter will not be watching this. She saw the Jumanji remake with the Rock, and all of a sudden her modest demeanor (that I tried so hard to instill in her, successfully) flew out the window and she was obsessed with showing her mid-riff because of the Redhead in the movie. I can’t imagine her watching a movie with child nudity and behavior that is so over the top inappropriate. Maybe with the right audience, this movie could have a valid lesson. But if it’s focus is absent minded parents who neglect controlling what their kids watch and model themselves after....well those neglectful parents probably aren’t watching this - their kids are. Also, IMDB modified the parents guide to this movie 2-3 times with the latest almost entirely removing the raunchiest scenes. I use IMDB exclusively to know what shows & scenes are inappropriate for my daughter. Resident Evil will detail each instance up to the one scene in part 4, I think, where one actor briefly mentions wanting to rent a porno as he enters the abandoned motel. That’s it, just a singular comment he made is in IMDB. BUT!!!! The Bare breast of a 11yr old is not mentioned for Cuties?? Something is off and it’s this show. Don’t bother - don’t watch - don’t let your kids watch.

Was so disappointed...not sure what is happening lately. -Unoriginal -No depth to characters -Bad acting -Bad plot / plot holes -Cliches -Bad acting (this is more like x10). -camera work is off...disconnects the viewer. -Bad Bad Bad CGI -and no character growth...like seriously! It’s like it’s all on fast forward. BAM!! Instant gratification and any issues magically fixed. -So unrealistic, it’s not even relatable. My daughter is 8. She loves all the Spy Kids movies, Shark boy & Lava girl, sky high, even another cheesy one I don’t quite remember the name..but not this one. She did watch it all the way through, so 2 stars for that.

Really disappointed. This is like taking Pets, Robots, and mix in some political pandering while removing any plot consistency and any cohesive character development. Not worth the time. Spoilers*** A dog who is a stray and a thief, makes fun of the police, legitimizes his theft by saying he had to cause he was poor, calls ‘pets’ bootlickers, etc. At first, all police Aka robots are bad. The pets and people are all ‘posh’ and snooty with thick exaggerated British accents. The poor rendition of the ‘Shifu’ like animal talks about the zoo animals in similarity to Native Americans. But when they sing...it’s rap? The zoo animals make a comment later when deciding whether freedom or staying in the zoo is what they want. Then they reply, if you don’t look at the bars on the cages, you don’t notice them. The villain is probably the most incompetent of them all. A good hero needs a good villain - this had neither. The villain had no back story - alluded to something almost religious, saying he was the son of the creator. Which became the devil spawn... It was all quite confusing. Subordinate robots would rebel and he’d just be like, ‘Ok, I deal with you later’ but you never see it. It was so unrealistic that it was just majorly confusing. The gates to hell, also referred to as the underworld, was the sewer. Which had revolt signs on the wall like in the hunger games. But there was nothing in the sewer. Just some broken bots, who join the troupe to defeat the villain after the dog catcher tells them, they are all scrap. There was a few musical moments which were...very odd. They should have just inserted a singing banana, that would fit as natural as their songs. Musical numbers usually enhance a movie - these didn’t. Forced and uncomfortable. There’s just too much that doesn’t make sense in this - very poorly written. Poor character development and plot has too many holes.

This is a hard one to review...I love Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn! I love Christmas movies....buuuuuuuuut....I just don’t know. It just was a disappointment. Not huge...just a Blah disappointment. My takeaways: -A bit cliche -Terrible acting from the villain -Goldie even seemed...well a bit rusty in the acting department. -Politics...🤮. Leave them out of shows like this! -Gonna say Plot on this one too. It’s like the cinemas just don’t focus on the characters enough anymore. They provide almost an outline or an executive script on the characters & fast forward it through the growth...you know, the part that connects the viewer with the character. I’m sure we’ll watch it again....next year. And only once a year, if that. I’d recommend watching...it’s worth it just to see if you like it.

I’d say it’s closer to a 4.75. I enjoyed the whole season....except that the season is short or at least feels that way. And I didn’t like the final episode. Without giving spoilers..the story seemed to be unfolding as it should...good characters, building depth, background, no plot holes....then as if someone else wrote the last episode, a couple curve balls seemed to be thrown in the mix that doesn’t quite fit and insert plot holes and mismatched character growth. I look forward to the second season but whether it’s good or not will depend on how it’s done.

Didn’t really care for it. Watched most of it on fast forward (which I normally do with scenes that are boring). Guess for me, the characters were just kinda….flat. Gotham (the TV series), Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Agents of Shield, even Once upon a Time, they all showed my how character plot and storyline REALLY matter. In Gotham…I found myself really invested in the villains, Once Upon a Time - loved every one of the characters. But Batwoman….soooooo disappointing.

I’m usually hesitant to watch any drug related movies cause most of them glamorize either drug dealing, getting high, or both. But since Jamie Foxx was in it, I expected more. Don’t expect more. This seems to be Mattson Tomlin’s first movie and it shows. The characters have little to no depth, no growth, plot is weak - as if written by a 16yr conspiracy theorist and done in fast forward, and yes...it still glamorizes dealing drugs/doing them - always the fast road to the top and no hard work. I don’t mind the occasional BS film to kill time but this one, didn’t even make that list. Don’t waste your time.
