Really quite mind-boggling how someone who has near infinite knowledge of music theory (and, by the sounds of it, the most powerful computer in the world) could show such little regard for effective songwriting. This album has nothing to say but refuses to keep its mouth shut. Ideas aren’t developed on this album, they’re shown to you and then thrown away. If you find yourself impressed with elaborate performances that serve no other purpose other than ‘look what I can do’, you might get something out of this album, but for me it was an immensely unsatisfying listen.
