"Nocebo" is a well-crafted and engaging psychological thriller that does not heavily feature jump scares as the primary tool to freak out its audience. The atmosphere of the whole film was tense and unsettling aided by the haunting musical score.
It tackles some relevant and thought-provoking themes and features solid performances, impressive cinematography, and an eerie atmosphere. If you enjoy slow-burning thrillers with a psychological edge, this movie is definitely worth checking out.
There were a few moments in the film that writing was a bit off, but it managed to pull itself up and kept me engaged. Watch the end credits and listen to the ending track to know what the subplot was loosely based on.
