I can't get past the glaring inconsistencies in the story (as an example - can anyone explain how the young Polish man made his way from eastern Poland in one episode, hiding from the Red Army, to be in northern France the next with a British unit? Just ridiculous).
The overall storyline is becoming increasingly disjointed as each episode passes. World War 2 is less important to the story line each week.
The writers had a real opportunity to tell an important story about the effects of the war across all of Europe and not just the usual dross involving England and USA.
Instead, we have to sit through melodramatic and irrelevant plot lines so some characters get equal screen time. Yawn.
I had high hopes for the series. Turning out to be very disappointing.
