The Michael Aaron Piano Course, and the numerous supplemental books are an excellent choice in piano pedagogy and lesson materials.
In my own piano studies (1960's) I went through most of the more advanced books. The approach was easy-going for the student, but a thorough foundation in pianio technic and music theory. The early grade books contain delightful, melodic etudes and teaching pieces that sustain the student's interest. All-in-all, a wise choice.
