The remake does not do justice to the original movie.The movie lacked emotion and power as it did not manage to evoke the emotion one would have felt from watching the original movie.Furthermore, the soundtrack/backing music was understated and misplaced which resulted in non compelling story telling.The original singers of the "Circle of Life" should have been retained so as to atleast make the movie memorable. I would suggest that you watch the original movie and keep that version in your thoughts as opposed to the remake.
