This remake is definitely enjoyable if you are an original Kamen Rider fan. It may be a little confusing if you are new but not too much if you are aware or have the knowledge of superheroes genre. This is a little more mature including blood in which suits for teenagers and young adults. I really like how they depict a girl assisting the protagonist in this movie. The cons here are the villains. There are too many villains for an approximately one or one and half hours movie. If they removed two villains and keep it a total of 5 villains including KR 2, it would’ve been better. This movie is a combination of the original live action and manga. The protagonist itself was ok, since he is a good guy, but I prefer the manga version of him better. In the manga, he does not seem to cowered that much. In the movie, he has a traumatizing backstory that led him to be a little more coward.

This series is mature, suitable for adults to watch, but the plot is rather boring. The whole movement ideas thing is not that interesting unless you are interested in this topic. I would like to see Kamen Rider fight monsters, not a movement to protect monster who can shapeshift into humans, and to provide them their own rights in society. This movement concept can be included in a different original shows, movies, or to not include it. Ended up dropping this show several episodes later and have not gone back to it ever since. If Toei want to remake Black Sun then they can just combine the live action source materials and manga together. This remake is going somewhere for older audiences, but the story was not it unless you enjoy those topic.
