If you're a fan of Until Dawn (as I am) then this is right up your alley because... well it's pretty much the same thing. Basically The Quarry (much like Until Dawn) can be best described as an "interactive horror movie" and, as you might expect from that descriptor, has very little in the way of traditional gameplay with the meat of the "game" taking the form of decisions made during the cinematic segments that make up the overwhelming majority of the experience.
The scenery and lighting in this game are generally great and really help draw you in to the experience, the character models are beautiful for the human cast and horrifying for the monsters, the music fits very well and enhances the entire experience.
The main characters are the cliché cast of horror movie characters but if you chose to take the time with them they can grow far beyond that. Oh and the very lives of every single one of them rest on your decisions, what seems like a common sense decision may spell disaster
