Terrible writing. They ignored character arcs previously set, the jokes were lame and over explained, they wrote out the Furious 5, the animation looked similar to the low budget Netflix show, and the story was weak. The only good points were the boarding/shots were cool, and Viola Davis is a great actress as usual.

Way better affects than previously tried. The characters are a bit closer to the original. It still feels choppy and forced. The characters aren't as multidimensional as they were in the animated series. There's something about going live action that kills the energy of the animated original. All they had to do was follow the writing of the original show and maybe delve further in things the fans wished they done more of in the original. But key moments seem stifled or lost completely and the humor is lacking. Sarcasm doesn't even exist. It seems as though the creators don't appreciate the intelligence of their audience.
