This movie glorifies misogyny, greed, capitalism and drug use, in a pretty disgusting way. Each scene in the first half is about the main character shamelessly using/ abusing/ lying to those around him to get what and where he wants. I mean, people do that in real life, but the issue is that this movie shows only the highs and barely any of the day to day and life long consequences of such a life. I didn’t find the glorification of this culture enjoyable to watch, but maybe it interests certain men who need to feel more manly.
The result can be seen in the google reviews- mostly men, “inspired”- they actually use this word - by this completely unrealistic character doing extreme(ly reprehnsible) things, with minimal consequence and lots of glorification.
