6/10. I never asked for this game, nor did I feel any enthusiasm or hope loading it up. But after playing it for a few minutes, I was more than impressed. It is a basic 2D Mario platformer with nothing special or interesting. You play through levels, fight a boss at the end of every world, unlock a secret world after collecting every star coin and that is really it. This is still a decently well-made game, but I just cannot see myself revisiting it ever again. To start, the first 20 or so levels are nothing special and feel way too easy. But then you get to peach’s castle and star world and you feel like you are really being challenged. This is the sort of game where I will play a level and not be able to beat it for like an hour. After getting angry and possibly chucking my controller out the window, I will beat it and praise how great the level was. This isn’t a bad game by any means, but I would recommend to skip it unless you have hours to do nothing. It is fun to beat once and then forget about soon after.

9/10. I have never been so immersed in a game in my whole life. Before the first cut scene ended I was in love. Let's just start by talking about the main mechanic and how different it is. Being able to turn into pretty much everything with a push of a button is so creative and fun. (Of course, you have to find them first but that is beside the point.) The level design and world in general is my favourite in any game ever. I could talk all day about the mushroom kingdom or cascade kingdom or any of the others. One thing that makes me lose interest on re-plays is that the bosses are way, way too easy if you know what you are doing. Also, despite what many people say, a lot of the kingdoms are bland and boring to revisit. I spend all my time platforming in New Donk city and forget that lost kingdom even exists. I don’t know how Nintendo could put absolute gems like luncheon kingdom, sand kingdom and seaside kingdom next to tedious slogs like snow kingdom, cloud kingdom and ruined kingdom. Every game has its flaws and pluses. Super Mario odyssey has too many repeating/boring moons to collect. But has some of the best music in any game ever. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking to play a long, fun and heart-warming game.

Seeing how DC had portrayed Jared Leto’s version of Joker in Suicide Squad, I was not looking to this film. But I have never been so hypnotised by a movie’s sheer brilliance quite like this one. Drama is one of my least favourite movie genres right next to horror, but this movie is so much more than just a tragic story. It is a depressing dive into the mental well-being of a poor orphaned child who just wants to make people laugh, but is mocked and scorned at every turn. At the beginning when we see Arthur's joke book and it says: ‘I hope death will make more cents than my life’ it is so powerful and we feel for the character. When the twists happened the end, the film tricks you into feeling sad for a murderer. Everything about this film is done with intense care and I can’t get enough of it. Some people say that the themes Joker deals with are too dark and should have been more subtle. However, I think that it is better to have a darker more up-in-your-face moral for a joker backstory. Also, if the themes are more obvious, than it feels more earnt when the movie resolves them. The joker will definitely remain DC's best film for a while to come.

Spiderman into the spiderverse is the first marvel movie I ever watched. It may have ruined others like Avengers: Age of Ultron and Iron Man, but that was just because of the love and care that was poured into this. The animation is the most innovative and vibrant ideas any animator has ever had. Bravo to this film for making me watch it for that reason alone. But even if the visuals weren't stunning, the jokes, action, writing, and characters are all so memorable and fun. Firstly, this is the funniest superhero film I have ever watched. Every line delivered, paired with the animation makes each joke stand out. Secondly, the action is just so fluent and fun. The science lab escape scene is so hilarious that it made me re-watch it 5 times. I specifically love when he hit that random guy on the head with the bagel. It was such a funny visual gag. Thirdly, the writing is so tight and realistic that I felt like the movie would have been better live-action. Lastly, the characters have all the right amount of personality and lines. I love Spider Ham in particular and Spider Man noir was the best Nicholas Cage character in a film yet, even if he didn’t have that many lines. This is kind of unrelated, but the theme song sunflower by Post Malone and Swae Lee is the catchiest song I have heard in a film yet. I highly recommend watching Spiderverse.

I didn’t like this movie as a kid. It was boring, annoying and the pacing was oddly slow. But I am glad that I can now enjoy this gorgeously animated film. Everything about this movie screams masterpiece. Johnny Depp’s voice was, I will admit, a bit annoying at the start, but when he gets to dirt, WOW! He really reminded me that he is an amazing actor. The rest of the actors including: Isla Fisher, Bill Nightly and Alfred Molina all gave S tier performances. The plot has just so many twists and turns that it’s hard to follow at times, but by the end it leaves you feel satisfied and happy. One really underrated thing about the movie that nobody really talks about, is the comedy. I laughed nearly non-stop throughout, whether it be dark adult comedy, or silly kids jokes. This is definitely one of the best Johnny Depp movies to date with unmatchable animation, character design, voice acting and morals. I got this film for my birthday and watched it more than 8 times in the following 2 weeks. Much worth watching if you haven’t before.

THIS MOVIE IS AMAZING!!! Leonardo DiCaprio is so good as Jack and Kate Winslet as Rose is just as good. I don't like long films for the most part, but this one feels deserved. the run time of the film is how long it took for the ship to sink in real life. on top of the impressive CG and immaculate acting, the movie is also the first non-pixar film to make me genuinely cry. i just cannot stress enough how much i love this film. it is my favourite movie ever and i don't think that will every change. watch it if, for some reason, you haven't already.
