"I found this to be a poor fantasy novel, with many unnecessary parts such as the focus on candy and playing pool. The protagonist, who is supposed to be the world's best assassin, is portrayed more like a lovely, sick puppy. She is forced into a life-or-death tournament, but most of the tournament tasks are glossed over, and the final combat isn't even to the death. There is no surprising twist regarding the villain in the castle. Overall, I didn't enjoy it."
