Joe Scarborough, on Morning Joe, used the phrase: "Going off the Reserve" at 8:26 am May 26th which, as an Indigenous person, I find extremely offensive. Indigenous people were forced to live on reservations making it easier for whites to steal their land. It was actually illegal for "Indians" to leave the reservation forcing us to live in third-world like conditions. Former US senator Clair McCaskill has also used this offensive phrase. Nazis and White south African governments came to Canada to study the reservation system to learn how to then initiate concentration camps and apartheid. This is racist language that these two should be taken to task for!
