after a wonderful experience with GOW 4, seeing Kratos become a "loving" father kinda fills that empty hole inside of me, after the previous games, I felt during kratos' interaction with pandora, kratos might actually be a good person. and well... he was. the 4th game left me screaming, I WANT MORE!!! And more was what i got!, Ragnarok was the thing that every franchise needs, the character development, the interesting characters and engaging story to round off the franchise, the result was an absolute MASTERPEICE 100% worthy of the God of War name. It was one of the only games that made me feel anger, surprise, sadness and a little bit of joy. Kratos and Atreus' interactions were next level and really added depth onto the narrative itself. A big improvement over the last game were the side quests, you can tell they really cared about how they would impact the story. Instead of just giving as a random spirit with no backstory give us a task, the tasks in ragnarok reflect on each character's past and lore. Instead of feeling like a tedious task to burn time like in the previous game, ragnarok makes us feel like we're learning more about the character's life and background. In conclusion. this heartfelt father and son journey filled with cracking humor and explosive combat made me feel like that some video games can still fill our hearts with emotion, an absolute goddamn masterpiece .
