Valencia “Guro Vee” Robinson

Really hoping it gets better … disappointed at script - it’s just not funny or naturally flowing … DW Jr - it’s like he’s forcing his character and way too proper for this type of sitcom. That proper humor only worked on Frazier which was hilarious … Just watched 4th episode with Wendy Robinson - sterotypical Black bourgeois attitude, but her part made the show a little better … DW Jr wife has robotic parts - likely great potential but it’s not coming through … Essence’s role is a bit of an overkill - she is truly one of my favorite actresses … The best way to get thru the first 4 episodes is never to have watched my Wife & Kids because that show was funny and flowed naturally, so the high expectation will not be there for this one to follow suit … I like the cast, but the scripts are not good and stereotypical … I am a huge Wayans and Essence Atkins fan, so this is not the review I ever expected to write… keeping my alarm set for 8:25p EST though - hoping it gets WAYans better!
