This is such a well researched book. The reader is caught into the world of Kathleen and her family from the prologue. The characters leap from the pages and inhabit your imagination as you eagerly turn the pages to discover more. Norma must write the sequel so we all can learn further the families journey. Her records and Information management background has armed Norma well to present many historical facts in a fictional story that educates the reader on life as it was in bygone times. Thoroughly enjoyed this story. Spanning from the Great War of 1914 through to 1928 the reader is absorbed into a world of adventure, heartache and healing, love and loss, sadness and humour. This would make a great movie or series.
