George Mackay acted really well in this film but I don't think Dean Chapman's character failed to make any impact for me.
Two parts in the film disappointed me. Firstly where the 2 soldiers finally make it through the desolation of the trenches and come into a wood.
After the carnage and hell they had just been through, there is nothing in the script to reflect
what a difference this is, which was bizarre.
Also, when the biplane crashes into the barn, I found it a bit far fetched for the pilot to get out manically stabbing and fighting.
So the film has a 3 star for me personally as didn't hit the spot.
