In Paintball by Daniel Benmayor, you're not getting the greatest movie of all time. You're not getting great actors, not getting editing, or a deep story. What you ARE getting, is a thrilling time with your friends.
When I first watched this movie, I was about 11 years old. It quickly became a cult classic among my friends because it seemed like we all had the same story as to why we had seen it; it looked interesting and we were all into paintball. When we individually tuned in to that classic 2010 Netflix display, we were extremely surprised to find a movie not about a paintball tournament, but a release for some 20 something adults eager for excitement in their life quickly devolving into a fight to the death.
This movie holds a lot of nostalgic value to me and it definitely sways my opinion, but if you don’t go in expecting an Oscar-worthy piece of cinema, you’ll have a good time.
