Saw Alien Romulus last night & have to say I thought it was dreadful, by far the worst in the Alien series so don’t believe the hype. The plot, script, character development & any thrills & menace expected, were all just none existent. The film was just a load of scenes stolen from past alien movies which had already been done better before with the characters running about a bit, shoddily put together. The aliens themselves for the few minutes they are on screen are fairly redundant & offer little resistance or menace. There are a few scenes of facehuggers running about along with the actors, batting them away like baseballs. The solen famous line & the ridiculous image of the past character they brought back was just cringe worthy. Whatever people thought of covenant, resurrection & the AvP’s, Romulus makes them look like masterpieces. In space no one can hear you cringe, yawn or snore.
