Reading other reviews tells me that the people who absolutely loved this series have not read the book. And that’s fine. I watched all 10 episodes and the actors chosen for the parts were very good. I understand taking creative license when taking a book to a movie but this was totally rewritten. It was disappointing to me as I am a fan of the original novel. I was looking forward to this series but I will not be watching the next season. This could’ve been made into a very good movie if it had followed the original storyline. Kristin Hannah is an excellent author and what she wrote, with the original Firefly Lane was amazing. I’m sorry she even felt it was fine to tear that original story up and go a different way. The subtitle for this Netflix series should be “an adaptation of the original novel, Firefly Lane”.
