The story is very real and heart rending .....it can be yours or mine ....my dad was from a village in Kashmir which is now in Pakistan and till his death , about a year ago , he had been wanting to see his birth place , see his school , see the river and the mountains!!!! This urge to go back to your roots is very strong once your own nest is empty and you are old ....what a lovely movie ! And what a beautiful way to get out of the communal hatred !!!full marks to actors , writer, director and the whole support group ! A must see ! Mango Dreams movie is a story that resonates with many senior citizens in today’s India and elsewhere. The generation gap is well explained between a parent and a Son. The main character’s dialogue, ‘every parent’s dream is, one day to hold a grand child in the arms and enjoy’. I hope this movie helps sons and daughters to understand what exactly makes their parents happy. Ram Gopal Bajaj acting is really superb and got me emotional with his dialogues. I recommend to every one to watch this movie. Excellent movie. Very well scripted, acted and directed. A welcome departure from the run-of-the-mill fare dished out from Bolliwood. It runs like a simple drama but as one watches on it uncovers moving scenes of the trauma of partition days. I hope the trend of producing such art films continues.
