It is a traumatic, gripping, well made, but brutal tale about class and family struggle in Indian coal country north of New Delhi. Kind of a “Crazy Brutal Asians” story of a dirt poor coal miners son determined to fuse with the rich and powerful. Political corruption and family loyalty/betrayal are big themes also. Great visuals and pacing. I had trouble sleeping at all last night and need to binge watch a bunch of comedies.

Funny in parts mainly by ancient morals and hyper violence cloaked in modern dialogue and sensibilities.
Their sense of humor is an acquired taste.
