As someone working in astronomy I honestly found this adaptation disappointing. It assumes an uninformed audience, inserts platitudes meant to appeal and sound intelligent but lacks the backing and research to support the scientific realism it tries to paint. Science fiction leaning towards the fantastical and futuristic is always appreciated, but it has to be established as such from the very beginning. The series struggle with deciding what it should be because it does not follow through with the commitment of realistic science where it was applicable. 3 stars are given because a large cast of asian actors is appreciated.
