I was overcome by Carr's narrative. As much as I love my cats, as much as I have tried to educate myself regarding their ways and wiles, their growth and development, I learned much from his perspectives, descriptions, and studies. He is the kind of person that I wish I had as a close friend. I miss him now: he reminds me of a couple of best friends that I lost to covid. Every cat lover must read this book. They will love, all the more, cats they have known.
