I don't know why I read such a distorted reviews of the book only projecting good things. I feel once a book becomes classic you're bound to affirm to it. It's a pretty much below average book with a main character who is mentally unstable and till the end he has not found mental equilibrium. Although he has found a person who is surprisingly ready to bear a person with unclear life philosophies and hates anyone who tries to help him. Alas, at the end he has accepted his love for the person which in turn saves him. So to start off, I got this book as a secret santa gift. I am generally reading non-fiction but since I got fiction, I was like let's try out fiction after an eternity. Could be a great experience.. First off, this one is a psychological thriller and a crime thriller where you'll be left wondering intent for killing by the main lead. It's a book about man's struggle to come on terms with himself. Rodion Raskolnikoff is the name of main character of the book "Crime and Punishment". Raskolnikoff finds himself out of university due to lack of funds to continue his studies where he proved to be a promising student. However, in his idleness rather than continuing studies, his mind gets hung up with the idea that whether he is vermin or a person cut out from different cloth, the likes of Nepolian. When he pawns last of his valuables to old woman pawnbroker for extra money, he got an intense hatred for pawnbroker because she threatened to sale it if loan is not paid. At that time Raskolnikoff who had the idea that he is different from others and by killing old woman he can do a society a favour but in secret he wanted proof on whether he is part of group of great men. Fast forward he kills but makes few blunders saved somehow from praying eyes. However, he was psychologically not quite ready for the deed and somehow struggles with the aftermath emotions. Withdrawal from life, invitation for suffering and losing control of emotions and revealing things about incident, roaming about night and not knowing where he spent it. When he saw kind-hearted Sonia who despite toughest life, kept her faith in God, kept on helping family which literally latched onto her for survival. He found the redemption in Sonia, who proved to be one. Despite knowing the truth she accepted him as whole and guided him to confess the crime, which he did eventually to the Police. He was sentenced 8 years of intense labour in Siberia. His punishment was reduced on account of his previous good behaviour and his mental illness, which Raskolnikoff refused as a defence because he still feels he is coward who has admitted his crime, for not being able to handle the consequences. Sonia went after Raskolnikoff to Siberia. Where Raskolnikoff, still not coming to terms with his killing, comparing it with many who have killed more. He struggles between punishing himself, coming to terms with crime which he doesn't consider one, being distant with Sonia. Somehow in the end he sees Sonia's efforts and expresses his love. Where in because of Sonia he has found his renewed purpose, renewed faith in God, hope and redirection in life. That's the end.

Amazing Read so far, 100 pages down full book to go! When the first chapter started with Ben telling some random instances of him facing tough situations and then taking tough decisions to deal with them the right way.. I had little expectation from this book. One quote I loved during these stories is by Ben's father to Ben, "Roses are cheap but you know what's expensive: Divorce" and I was totally wowed! 1st Chap to 3rd Chap go fast motion into his overall journey of starting up, facing 2000 crash, going public in tough times of 2001, Selling the ultimate cloud business and then re-establishing itself as a software company to later buying a company just to keep the major customer and Finally selling to HP! Pretty much insanely deadly roller coaster ride where every moment is about to bring death.. Now reading the part where how to hire right and how as company grows, it out grows people currently present and how you need the right hiring to match current company status.. This book is a must read! Ben has written the book so well that it takes the stress and unwanted emotions out of the whole and what remains available for take out are the hard hitting lessons explained in leyman's terms which everyone can understand but are the most tough and testing in action.

Must read especially for young adults and I'd personally say for all age groups! Specifically I'd recommend this book for young adults as we go through life, it becomes difficult to deal with all aspects such as academic, relationships, finance and self talk. However, a book like this can help reduce burden and allows one's self to give one more chance when we're ready to reject ourselves. Incredible book on how anybody can achieve anything once they have mindset change which would lead to change in attitude and resulting action!

By far an amazing book I've read. A book which is impressive, well written and demonstrated it's concepts well with elaborate, easy to understand language.

A good read so far. Coming to positives: 1. I really understood how men and women's brain primarily function. 2. I can surely understand now better, what I misinterpreted in understanding men and women. 3. Good insight Coming to cons: 1. I didn't like how same thing is repeated over and over again. 2. First women's pov then men's, after that what they say actually means for both of them. Seems too much jamming of same thing. 3. Story of Martians and venusians seemed too general and not with enough basis. Very much binery view. In reality both men and women are too complex based on different upbringings, background and many other factors. However, for fundamentals you can read this book (like our innate need) Overall you'll have good take aways and insights after reading this book on men and women. Any book is worth a good read if you can take away even 1-2 points in your life. So, if you're impatient like me then you can either go for audio version or summary version. However, I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone. It was not suitable for my taste. Too much general and vague content. Wish you wonderful reading time. Love for author John Gary.
