Before watching this movie, I read the book it was based off of. My friend was listening to the book on tape and recommended we read The True Meaning of Smek Day. I thought the movie would follow the perimeters set in the book, and the story, but the producers and writers didn't. In the beginning of the movie, we see Tip and Oh(Jay lo) trying to evade the Boove in a car that spews out bubbles. The boove writing is bubbles, so why would Oh put bubbles in the car if he was running away? I would have liked the movie if they had stuck to the story and didn't create their own thing that goes against the book. My mom and I couldn't finish watching it and my friend and I both talked about not liking the movie at school. even if you hate the movie, I think you should still read the book. The True Meaning of Smek Day was an amazing book, and there is a second book written as well.
