The movie never makes a clear point of clarity; as trying to be a religious movie with a theological point. The Book of Clarence aims at subverting truth with hypothetical ideas. At times the film feels like it's trying to be a comedy; then takes a dramatic turn toward blasphemy. Once again Hollywood trying to attack people beliefs for no other reason; because it can.
