I have always loved Pixar and their work... and “Soul” just took everything a step further. The artistry and animation is extremely realistic and extremely detailed. I am very fascinated with how detailed the New York streets are, the hilarious comedy and cultural allusions, and most importantly, the music. As a jazz musician and pianist, I am amazed by how detailed the animators were to showing correct piano keys, finger placements, and so forth. I have never seen such hard work on any other animation to go as far as to have the correct fingerings... and this is JAZZ we are talking about! That’s hard! “Soul” is moving and soul-touching. Pixar has really out-done themselves with this. Well done.
