I liked it. The people saying it’s woke just don’t like to see when a white straight man is not playing the lead role, but I digress. But to be completely clear, there are parts of this movie with empty activism. Like the 2 unnamed gay men with 3 seconds of screen time because Disney loves to meet a gay quota by featuring queer characters that are usually unnamed so they can easily edit it out for countries where it’s illegal to show a gay on screen. Because god forbid you lose out on that sweet sweet consumer cash. Do better Disney. But to be clear, this is a nice movie, I found myself thoroughly enjoying it at some points, while only dragging on a bit in others. Will probably watch the 2 again next year.
