I can't possibly give this movie a thumbs down only because of Octavia Spencer. Although the movie was a little...okay a lot on the odd side, Octavia Spencer acted very well and came across as a believable character. I feel like the writers got exactly the character that they were in search of when they chose Ms. Spencer Don't judge the movie solely by the reviews and regardless of what you've heard about it watch it for yourself. It's not the best movie that you'll ever see but it is worth taking the time to watch so that you can judge it for yourself.
