PS5 Gameplay review;
My wife is not a huge 1 player game kind of person. When I downloaded this and showed her less than a minute of gameplay, she was immediately hooked.
This game is absolutely wonderful. At no point in the story line did I even feel like I could assume what would come next. The sound design is incredible, everything was clear, but not overwhelming. I must say it's always exciting when a game adds the little details like sound changes based on terrain, and the realistic thud of a cat jumping from various heights.
The overall mechanics of the stray cat you are playing as is extremely realistic. The jumping, being able to turn tight 360 circles, and just playing into typical cat behaviour is amazing. There are little kitty nap spots throughout the game, lots of carpets to scratch, tons of things to knock off of shelves, reasons for mischevious behaviour and even a button to meow whenever you please. This game truly captures practically every favourite trait of the cats we all know and love in our lives.
It's mainly a puzzle game, but with that being said, its not overwhelmingly difficult to succeed. I think the only time we got stuck was at the beginning when we lost our bearings. There are elements to this game which will have you on the edge of your seat pressing the run button for dear life, and others where you get to fall asleep on a friendly robot's chest for a nice nap.
I'm truly excited to see what the developers have planned next for this game; there are so many opportunities that can follow the ending of this one. The devs truly deserve a huge amount of praise for this amazing title. Well done!
