The movie was not true to the book at all. It also was not true to the times. The overt sexuality on stage would NOT have been done in the 1930s. LGBTQ rep was not reflective of the times. Neither was the general attitude toward race and interracial marriage. There are ways to be inclusive and show the injustice of racial and sexual prejudice without historical inaccuracy. And I know the director knows how to do it because The Murder on the Orient Express was brilliant! I wish Hollywood would stop trying so hard to be politically correct. It’s ruining the entertainment industry.
