I am a diehard hunger games film fan. All the movies before this one kept me at the edge of my seat, wondering what’s going to happen next. The actors in the previous films were perfect and connecting to the audience. However, this movie was not it. I couldn’t connect to any of the characters, especially Lucy Gray. There was too much singing and it felt like a musical and all the acting was terrible but ❤️snow❤️. Some parts the acting was so bad that it was laughable. There were chuckles in the movie where there shouldn’t have been… You can tell that Lucy Gray was acting and it didn’t feel natural and the accent was not it. However Tom Blyth was absolutely amazing. His acting was actually realistic and you could somewhat connect with him. It was just how they made the story in this film that didn’t connect us more. I expected a lot more, especially with their previous films setting a high standard. The movie was also too long for what was shown. Some parts were dragged on way too long, and others were rushed where it was actually important. The only time that I felt an emotional connection was when Snow cried after his friends death. The movie wasn’t terrible, but I don’t think I would watch it again. If they make another one, after this, I hope they prove their self differently.
