An interesting movie mainly for its "alien" concept, however to me theres a lack of connection between certain elements in the opening scene i found very misleading and the overall plot of the movie. The main characters stoicism works for the role but there is stoic and then there is brain-dead and he kinda leant towards the latter at times. The girls character was intensely annoying at all times, just overall unlikeable. Decent cinematography, interesting plot, poor pacing, and a pretty anti climactic finish, just kinda seems like they didnt know where to go with this movie. If i wasnt such a nerd for alien movies i would probably not recommend it.

I'm honestly surprised, I mean, with its off timing, and the insertion of a black woman who you are just waiting for four episodes to complain about old white men is a big put off, because that's like a requirement now at Netflix, you can pass any show off as long as there is a boy in a dress or a migrant somali trans professor who is pregnant. I for one am sick of the anti white rhetoric inserted strategically in movies. But beyond that, it's just not five stars any day of the week. Some scenes were like out of a bad play at a high school from stoned teenagers. MM was never high brow, but i loved his old stuff, this was uncomfortable, and i only watched as much as i did because i was bored and Netflix selection is worse than ever. 5 star if your stoned, 3 is generous
