As an adult, you're going to have moments that are definitely misses - the team needing to get back to England, smash cutting them arriving in England, or the longer-than-needed fart gag towards the end, for example. But there's also moments of genuine enjoyment and parts that I'll remember for a long time - the part with the tiger, the octopus's random slang and the funny bits with the rival doctor. Antonio Benderas' character in particular will stay with me for a while - I LOVED that final confrontation between him and Dr Dolittle! It wasn't a revitalization
of the classic 1967 film as I was hoping it would be, but I'll think of it more than the 1998 version. But then, I'm a stickler for period set retellings of classic stories.
