Ruined by skill based matchmaking. Multiplayer is simply not playable if you’re a casual gamer who just likes to jump on a causal shooter game for a few hours a week. If you have a good match, you are punished by being matched against e-sport champions. Every other game I can think of has a ranked mode where players can challenge themselves in a competitive scenario. It’s ridiculous that a franchise as big as Call Of Duty does not. It’s clear that that Activision (the publishers) are using the skill based system to attract new and inexperienced players to their game. That’s fine to an extent, however do not punish fans who have been playing your game since the 2000’s. The games these days are released with very little content, and this matchmaking system makes it all very boring. Call Of Duty as the old fans know it is well and truly gone.
