Tyler Perry's movies are typically very enjoyable but this movie was ghastly. Truly, really ghastly.
The courtroom scenes are absolutely awful and not accurate. No judge will permit an attorney to be confrontational (as was the lead character), without citing her for contempt and seeking to get her law license revoked.
And I sure hope that there aren't any attorneys in practice that are as awful and completely incompetent as was demonstrated within this movie.
The whole thing defies any trace of believably.
That being said, the scenes and dialogue involving sociopathy and a sociopath's utter joy in reeling in victims via love bombing were spot on. An intelligent sociopath will leave a swatch of destruction a mile wide. Despite what prevalent Hollywood movies suggest, sociopaths aren't always serial killers but the "experienced sociopaths" are very good at destroying human lives.
With all things in balance, I'd say that this movie isn't worth your time. I was profoundly disappointed.
