I too was surprised that critics were so harsh on this movie! I thought it was a thoughtful and tender portrayal of a couple’s journey through grief. A perfect example of the fact that every human being experiences grief in different ways. I watched Melissa McCarthy in Nine Perfect Strangers and she won me over immediately. Her role in The Starling did the same. Kevin Kline portrays his unusual role with great style. It gets 5 stars from me!
