As a pastor, over the past 35 years I've seen just about every cinematic depiction of Jesus ever made, both the "Christian cheese" versions and the very best. Nothing comes close to capturing the Jesus I know and find in the gospels like The Chosen. It is, hands-down, the most winsome, creative, historically-contexted and biblically-accurate portrayal of Jesus in the 1st century I've ever seen. I binged the first season in the course of 2 days, and I can't wait for season 2. IMHO, this is a work guided by the Holy Spirit to help usher in revival and awakening around the world. I couldn't be a bigger fan.
