Where do I start? I watched the show but was caught off guard because as I was watching it I continued to fall further and further into the story and presentation. I really wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it turned out to be so much so that I had to rewatch it a second time just to be sure I caught all the detail in this fine work of art. Truth be told, I never watch anything twice but in circumstances like this one, rules are made to be broken. What I enjoyed most about the show was the feeling that it took me back to the 60’s. From the Buildings, Costumes, Cars, Home Decor, and everything in between the details were just well beyond my imagination. I also found a new composer I will be following as I absolutely fell in love with the soundtrack by Carlos Rafael Rivera, some of the music closely resembled the work of Thomas Newman who is known for his original film scores. I was hoping for this limited series to have a sequel however it seems that won’t be likely as they followed the book which this story was based on and they ended the series in the same place where the book ended. Hats off to the Directors, Producers, and Cast, and anyone else involved in this fine work! Thanks for the surprise Netflix, It was a good one!
