So violent R. but I guess war would be like that and it was dystopian USA. Just don't bring the kids. It held my attention. A big thing hard to capture on a screen without breaking the budget. They figured it out with lots of smaller scenes that captured the idea. So, the story was also about the embedded press. Real fantasy here. But it's a movie and if you want to have bullet dodging press getting all the shots irreverent of human carnage, well movies can do it. Not much backstory on the president and how it got that way. Two rebel factions, West and Florida was an interesting idea but not explored. It did seem like the president. Character was probably a narrow sighted ego maniac. I'll bet the trump haters want to draw a comparison. Don't think that was the intent. Anyway not really about him.

Nor bad...need to see how threads play out. Willing to kill off characters with decent parts.

Wife and I watched. Premise was cringeworthy. Progress of movie ok.....but what really got me was the totally dysfunctional ending. Thought they might start taking turns kicking the Bo Derek character...then a bunch of short scenes and a musical outtake epilogue to try to make you smile after having seen the horror show ending. Wow.
