I enjoy this show a lot! At one time (when I was about 10 or 11), I wanted to be a plastic surgeon. From what I have seen from the implant disasters Dr. Dubrow has repaired, I am so glad that I never had the desire to increase my cup size -- especially when my post-menopausal body decided to "surprise" me.
When I see the rhinoplasty disasters that Dr. Nassif has needed to correct, how thankful I am that I came to terms with my large, bumpy Welsh nose (think late Richard Burton / now popular Christian Bale)! When some of the children I have worked with have been self-conscious about their looks (e.g., uneven skin pigmentation), it has even helped to have "flaws."
It's almost hilarious to find that butt implants are the most popular cosmetic surgical at the moment. You could style me the "anti-Kim Kardashian"! Two years ago, I had a butt that would rival hers and got rid of it! It constantly attracted attention from the wrong kind of men. I now have a flat butt as well as a flat gut and work out every day at keeping it GONE! If there is something cosmetic that can be done that will make sure it NEVER returns, I'd be up for that!
Earlier this afternoon, I saw an ex with his current girlfriend. Whatever fashion magazines say about attraction and finding love certainly does not apply -- at least in their case! I smiled and waved as I drove by. (He was either about to jog or was just finishing.) She is, to put it politely, "broad in the beam"!
As the doctors have said, get the surgery done for yourself, not for anyone else! Doctors, you are good therapists as well as medical men!
