Gosia Kostrzewa

This is one of the best series I have watched so far. I love the books and I love the series. The story line is obviously brilliant and so are the main characters. Except one, in my opinion. I always feel dissapointed when I watch series 3. I don't believe that the choice of the actress playing Skade was good. She may be attractive but I would expect more, at least some charisma and sophistication, and she has none. Somehow, the slightly open mouth (loose jaw / third tonsil symptom?) brings to mind someone pulling faces in an attempt to mock someone when having nothing clever/witty to say in an argument, and indicates lack of intelligence. Every time I see her, I see an obnoxious teenager, who will throw a tantrum if they don't get what they want. She has an expression of a sulking child. There's nothing convincing about her, nothing interesting. Shame, as there are many bad characters in the show, and you hate them, but you can see that they are an integral part of the role they play, they own it. I would give David Dawson thre Oscars for his Alfred, he is so good. So, what happened here? Why her? There are hordes of young, tall, blonde women, if that was what was required for the role, with, I'm sure, better ability to give something to the role. I get that she is young and may not have the experience (you can certainly see it) but it cannot be the reason, there are many young people in the show but each one of them is brilliant. It is a shame, she spolis the show for me. Every time I watch it I feel the same. I still give 5 stars as, as I said, I love the show. I've seen it several times and now watching it in preparation to watch series 4, which I have not yet seen and I cannot wait!
