How can I describe John Wick: Parabellum? Well, it's cool for the first few fights then you realize John Wick is an invincible man and any suspense the movie had going for it is lost. After that you just watch in boredom as the same fights get played over and over again with slight variations in weapons, combatants, and settings. In between the fight scenes are amazing tidbits of John Wick running, asking for help, and lying on the ground trying to recover his strength. [SPOILER] Eventually you get to the end of the film and you see a completely run down John Wick that seems to have nothing in him, and instead of deciding to give up his life of killing (which was his goal throughout the entire movie) we see him ready to fight again. Let me emphasize, after being punched hundreds of times, shot around five times, falling of a four story building, and being stabbed a few times he decides to abandon his goal and go to war once again. I understand he could have been lying at the end of the movie, but what's more likely; the studio wants more money, or John Wick lied at the end of the film to save his own life. That being said, there were some good parts of John Wick; the fight scenes were, for the most part, well choreographed, I also enjoyed when Halle Berry had her dog killed and went on a rampage similar to John Wick in the first movie. Other than that the movie just felt super repetitive. I have a lot more complaints about this film, but these are some of the more major flaws that I saw. I just wish it could have ended with the first movie which was light years better. 5/10
